1880's Farm House

Enjoy the comforts of this charming country getaway.

This fully renovated 1880’s farmhouse is spacious, inviting and tranquil. It’s located on a 13-acre Christmas tree farm and encircled with towering Oregon white oaks — a soothing escape for city dwellers who are looking for quiet, restorative time away from urban hustle-bustle.

Our Farmhouse can easily accommodate up to 10 guests, perfect for groups or large families.  It features 4 bright, cheerful bedrooms, 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs, separate sitting and living rooms, a full kitchen, and a fully furnished sunroom for those moments of quiet reflection.

Outside there is a gas barbecue, lots of green space, and a private stone patio that looks out onto our Christmas tree farm.

There are no busy streets near our front door—children and pets are safe outside. Off the upstairs bedrooms, under the eves, are special play areas for children. Outside we provide croquet, balls, and frisbees for outdoor play.

After exploring the many trails and acreage just outside your front door, curl up by the fireplace with your book, or choose one from the bookshelves. Family game night won’t be missed since the large dining table can easily accommodate those Bananagrams, Catan or Ticket to Ride battles.

This is a one-of-a-kind house.

We love to hear from our guests! See what folks from across the country are saying about their stay with us.

The farmhouse was a fabulous place to stay for my family of five. We thoroughly enjoyed the environment, the pottery studio, and the peacefulness. The location was perfect as we drove to Salem, Albany, Lincoln City and other places nearby. Dale was a great host. He met us upon arrival and showed us around. He also met with us prior to our departure. The house had everything we needed. We plan to visit again in the future, and this will be our go to place to stay. Thank you, Dale for a wonderful stay!

One of our best memories from 12 days in the Pacific Northwest. After so many days on the road, the farmhouse was the perfect retreat. It was absolutely everything that I guessed could hope for and having a cup of morning coffee or an evening glass of wine on the patio made Oregon feel like home. Dale was so very welcoming and went out of his way to help even after we had left, and I called in a panic about my missed placed passport. And please make sure to visit his ceramic studio and shop on the property – it was like visiting a working museum.

Oregon and Corvallis was wonderful. The home we were fortunate to have, met all our needs. It was cozy, comfy and quiet. A very peaceful setting, but still very close to downtown. The owner of the property was most excellent. He accommodated us perfectly. Personal tour and getting to know the home visit was super. The artist studio was just icing on the cake! Would definitely recommend AND return!

We were thrilled to enjoy this home for our family time together. I would highly recommend Donovan‘s place. Very comfortable, has all the needed equipment, and we were right at home from the start.

We were here to visit our daughter. The kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms are fully stocked with everything you need. The outside shed has games galore for every age kid. My kids (almost adults) had more fun playing football, soccer, badminton, volleyball, and even blowing bubbles with our young visitors. The home is nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac and the property is beautiful. Thank you, Dale for a wonderful weekend. I was really trying to figure out how to get a Christmas tree on a plane.

Beautiful home with lots of original artwork and a lovely pond. The home is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. I especially like the dining room. The beds were very comfortable which is important to me and my spouse. Dale showed me his beautiful art and I bought several pieces. Corvallis is a great little town with lots of restaurants and shopping.

We truly enjoyed our stay here!
It was close to OSU but seemed like we were in the middle of the country. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable, and the outside was perfect for our dogs and just enjoying the beauty of the surroundings!

The Donovan house was such a lovely surprise loaded with artsy charm! Filled with eclectic arts and touches… and a bit of history. Absolutely comfy from beds to essentials. Outdoors, the property offer is beautiful Oaks, gardens, and private lawns to relax and feel far away. The homeowner is delightful and has an amazing pottery studio on the property that adds to all the unexpected charm! Recommend if looking for something to add to your adventure away from home… a definite treat compared to hotels!!!

This was the perfect setting for our family together for the weekend of our son’s wedding. The farmhouse accommodates a large group very comfortably. It has been nicely updated and is well-equipped. The outdoor patio and green provided a lovely setting for the rehearsal dinner. Having only seen photos, I was not entirely sure what to expect, but I could not have been more pleased. We will always have wonderful memories of the farmhouse in our time there! Many thanks to Dale, who was so helpful and accommodating.
